By Train
There are regular train services from London Victoria and Gatwick to Eastbourne. From Eastbourne Beachy Head and East Dean is a 10 minute drive away in a taxi or the 712 and 713 buses will take you to East Dean. If you’d prefer to walk from the station head towards the Sea and follow the South Downs Way.
By Car
• Take signs to Gatwick from M25
• Take M23, and follow M23 / A23 until you approach a round-a-bout, take directions to Lewes and Newhaven (up hill and around two small roundabouts.
• Take A27 towards, Lewes & Newhaven. keep on the A27, past Lewes and follow signs to Polegate along the A27, after about 10 miles you will arrive at a set of traffic lights, go right, (ignore signs to Eastbourne).
• 300 yards at another set of traffic lights go right again, towards Wannock, Jevington and East Dean.
• Stay on this road (about 5 miles) until you get to a T-junction. There is a church opposite you. Go Left, down hill and into East Dean.
• When you get to the bottom of the hill, you need to go right. Onto Gilberts Drive 200 yards on the right is the entrance to the Village Hall and Tiger Inn Car Park, follow this road through the Village and the Farm and Sheep Centre will appear on your right. For views of the white cliffs and Seven sisters follow the road on.
By Bus
The 712 runs every 15 minutes during the day between Brighton and Eastbourne, stopping at East Dean. On Weekends and Bank holidays there is a 713 service which follows the coast road around to Beachy Head
