Hikers Rest Coffee and Gift Shop is positioned on the beautiful village green of East Dean next to the Tiger Inn. We serve a wide variety of coffee and teas including peppermint, rosemary, earl grey, lady grey and English Breakfast, to be enjoyed with our delicious cakes, scones or a traditional English Cream Tea.
Light lunches and sandwiches are freshly made in our “farmhouse” kitchen to be enjoyed inside, on our terrace or on the Village green. Alternatively for the seriously well prepared walk or walking group we can prepare a picnic or sandwiches for you to take away. You’ll find locally produced beer and wine on the menu as well as a good choice of meals for children.
Inside you will also find a variety of locally produced crafts, produce paintings and pictures as well as a varied selection of unusual gifts for all.
Hikers Rest Gift Shop is open at the following times:
Monday: 10 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesday: 10 am – 4.30 pm
Wednesday: 10 am – 4.30 pm
Thursday: 10 am – 4.30 pm
Friday: 10 am – 4.30 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday: 10 am – 5 pm
We are open on Bank Holiday Mondays, but we are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Car Parking is available off Village Green Lane and we have disabled access to the tea room, gift shop and toilets.
