A Beautiful Winter Walk Dinner in a Cosy Pub and a Stay in a Delightful Cottage All in One Spot!

The unspoilt village of East Dean, nestling in the shelter of the South Downs on the coast a few minutes’ drive from Eastbourne, is the perfect spot for a Winter getaway.  Here, fabulous walks amidst stunning coastal scenery, award-winning holiday cottages and a renowned pub are all in one place.

Beachy Head Holiday Cottages, situated in East Dean, provide an ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of the UK.  A wide variety of walks of differing lengths and degrees of severity are accessible from the cottages.  Climb up onto the Seven Sisters and enjoy bracing sea air and magnificent views of the South Downs and the coast.  Alternatively there are the woodland paths of Friston Forest close by or the meandering river flowing down to the sea at the Cuckmere Haven to explore.

There are eight elegantly appointed cottages offering comfortable accommodation in a delightful setting.  The cottages are located in the grounds of eighteenth century Grade 2* Listed “The Dipperays”, with three of the cottages actually situated within the recently restored Victorian walled garden.

Within staggering distance of the cottages is The Tiger Inn.  The pub is to be found right on the Village Green in East Dean and is the ideal spot to warm up and enjoy some well-earned refreshment after a long walk.  Log fires, low beams and unusual antiques make for a warm and cosy welcome.  Classic British dishes are accompanied by a range of drinks including beers from the award-winning Beachy Head Brewery.
